Topics you can do to generate leads
How to come up with lead generating topics for social media
It’s often hard to give ourselves the honest look in the mirror and ask ourselves who we really are, and how people really see us. The illusion that Instagram gives us with likes and engagement can often cloud real results like actual qualified leads, or real prospecting customers. It’s important that you understand your brand and where you currently stand in the market, and where you want to be. We believe that you’re reading this is not an accident. We believe you have the authority, the power, and the knowledge to be a bigger influence than you realize.
Be an authority
Let’s be honest - no one really knows the amount of work it takes to be a real estate agent. No one really knows what it takes to do the things you do, and why despite the stigma of what a real estate agent does, you actually go above and beyond. It’s time to take that moment in the mirror and remind yourself that you have knowledge and authority that people who don’t hire you are missing out on. Creating authority content isn’t about bragging about your numbers. It’s about education. The #1 way to get a client to buy into you is to give them something for free. Educating your prospective clients, or even current clients will give them a feeling of indebtedness, along with trust. Making authority content allows you to stay top of mind and wires your brain to be triggered when anything real estate related comes to mind.
Here are some things you can talk about that might take the daunting task of creating authority content off your shoulders.
Market Update
It is important for real estate agents to keep their clients informed of the latest market updates. By posting regular market updates on social media, agents can build trust with their clients and show that they are knowledgeable and up-to-date on the current market conditions. In addition, regular market updates can help agents stay top of mind for potential clients who may be considering a purchase or sale in the near future.
The market is constantly fluctuating. You have access to a plethora of information, and no one knows that more than anyone who has access to the information. Give people the weather report of real estate. Remember that people are often lurkers, not engagers. Being consistent in this will give people an immediate association in knowing and feeling that you care enough to not only provide the information but that you are extremely knowledgeable and attentive and detail-oriented. It may seem generic and basic, but who do you see that’s doing it? I can guarantee that it’s more minority than majority.
Cinematic Listing Videos
While we do offer MLS + Vertical videos as a package deal, maybe you feel that you would benefit from taking on the skillset yourself. Maybe you’re a DIYer and you have a talent for shooting and editing. By all means, do it! The bigger question would be if you aren’t doing it, why haven’t you? What’s stopping you?
Real estate agents can create cinematic social media videos to help sell their properties. By using video, they can create a more engaging experience for potential buyers, which can result in more sales. Additionally, video is a great way to show off a property’s features and amenities, which can help to entice buyers. With the right tools, like a good phone and gimbal, real estate agents can create high-quality videos that will help them sell their properties quickly and efficiently.
With the amount of technology available with the new phones and gimbals, there’s no reason why you can’t be a content-creating machine. Remember, the social game and authority content game is more about quantity than quality. The key is to be consistent. If you need help with leveraging your phone to shoot things like real estate listing videos, check out our masterclass where we go over everything from how to shoot through the editing process and uploading as well as techniques that can enhance your cinematography.
City Tour
People are moving from all over the country, and a big part of choosing where is what. What’s around here? What would I like? Why would I like it? What’s there to eat? What makes this city special? Just like that, we gave you 5 ideas of content that you could make right now. As a real estate agent, you do above and beyond behind closed doors. This is the knowledge you already have, you just need to document it and share it. People want to know they’re working with a person, not just an agent.
Story Branding
What’s your deal? Why are you even real estate? What is even a home to you? Why does finding people's homes mean so much to you? Your story is pertinent. We always encourage agents to find stories from their upbringing or past and incorporate them into their posts as life lessons or even how they journeyed to be where they’re at with their work. The truth is, what you do is so important. You are with people, holding their hand, to find somewhere for them to root their life. You’re kind of like family, for better or for worse. But you’re there to see them through.
